Faithful Surrender is a new site and is in the process of being created. Here, I will share Bible verses that are special to me, Daily Devotionals, and Blogs, based on thoughts and inspirations from my own personal time in the Word through the leading of the Holy Spirit.
Scripture is the living Word of God, and I pray that as we read and study it, we are spiritually moved and impacted for the glory of God.
I have been blessed with many loves in my life, and two that are held most dear are my love for music and my love for my Lord. This is a shared website that will cater to both.
ABOUT ME
I am a lifelong teacher and musician with more than 35 years of experience in secondary education, as well as extensive experience teaching private music lessons. I teach private lessons from my home studio and also offer virtual instruction.
In addition to teaching, I have been blessed to use my musical training and experience to serve as a Worship Leader, church musician, and Youth Leader in churches throughout Louisiana and Tennessee. I hold Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Music, as well as a Master's degree and a Doctorate (DMin) in Theology.
My husband and I have been married for 36 years, and we are blessed with four wonderful grown children and one granddaughter.
While I have many goals and aspirations, my primary goal for my music studio is to provide students with a quality music education that fosters a lifelong love and appreciation for music. Through personalized private instruction, students develop the skills necessary to create music independently and enjoy it throughout their lives.
Whether or not they choose to pursue music professionally, I hope my students will continue to enjoy making music, grow in confidence, and share their love of music with others. Above all, my desire is that they use their gifts and talents to honor God. After all, music is truly one of God's greatest gifts.
Regarding my Faithful Surrender website, my desire is simply to share the encouragement and insights God has graciously allowed me to gain through years of studying His Word. Through a lifetime of growing in my relationship with Christ, I have come to realize that what God desires most from me is complete surrender to His will.
It is through prayer and faithful surrender to God that I offer these writings. My hope is that they encourage believers, strengthen their walk with Christ, and point others toward a deeper relationship with Him.
